We had a productive and informative UHNA meeting this past week.  The focus of the meeting was around neighborhood security.  UIndy police chief David Selby spoke about how neighbors can work to reduce threats and report issues.    Also, neighbors Marvin Selva and John Barker advocated for developing a neighborhood watch to help build relationships between neighbors, students, and local law enforcement.

We are moving forward with the pocket park initiative with neighborhood work days coming in March, April, and May.  Right now the tentative dates are March 8th, April 5th, and May 17th.  We will be sure to update neighbors if dates fluctuate.  Our resident health guru, Ruth Soper, updated us on the importance of giving blood and we also discussed how we should proceed with the handling of funds as an association.  Finally, co-coordinator Uche Unogu, announced that he will be stepping down on the account of a new job with added responsibilities.  We appreciate the work Uche has done for association especially with the construction of this website and the organization of our digital initiatives. Good luck in your new position!
